IEEE Standards Activities

Introduction

IEEE is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity.  IEEE in addition to its publications, conferences, and professional and educational activities, IEEE has a wide-ranging activities in technology standards through the IEEE Standards Association (SA).

In the arena of standards for 3DS-ICs, IEEE's SA currently has a focus on testing 3DS-ICs for manufacturing defects.  Manufacturing defects are considered by many as a major, still largely unresolved obstacle to make 3DS-ICs a product reality.
