Introduction

Silicon Integration Initiative (Si2) is the largest organization of industry-leading semiconductor, systems, EDA and manufacturing companies focused on the development and adoption of standards to improve the way integrated circuits are designed and manufactured, in order to speed time-to market, reduce costs, and meet the challenges of sub-micron design.

The Open3D Technical Advisory Board (TAB) is a Si2 Program Technical Advisory Board (PTAB) chartered by the Si2 Board of Directors to produce open industry standards to support design flows for the design of 3D chips. The Open3D TAB will define standard interfaces to enable the transfer and storage of design and model data throughout interoperable 3D design flows. These standards are expected to be based on technology contributions from industry or academia.
